Charities We Support
Incarnate Word University
Founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, UIW has over the years achieved amazing faith-based educational accomplishments and continues to do so. The Gorman Foundation is proud to play a part in supporting the University in its ongoing business, education and sports endeavors. Not only an invaluable institution in San Antonio, Central and South Texas, UIW extends its excellence and influence internationally.
Space Foundation
The Gorman Foundation is especially keen on education that focuses on engaging and motivating young people to get interested in STEAM related careers to become our future engineers, scientists and astronauts. We are proud to support this organization. We hope that, through the Space Foundation, students and teachers alike will carry away a spark, a thirst for STEAM education and an interest in Space to carry our civilization into the future.
Cibolo Nature Center
The CNC represents an amazing blend of conservation, research and education especially for engaging young people who are too often absorbed by electronics and social media. We heartily support the work that the CNC does in getting kids out of the city and into the Texas hill country to learn about Mother Nature and how vital it is that we protect her for the generations to come.
Christus Children’s Foundation
There’s nothing that tugs your heart strings like a sick child. One of our longest standing charities that we support, Christus Children’s stands as one of the most important organizations in South Texas dedicated to medical research and treatment of children from all walks of life and every economic strata. The Gorman Foundation supports this invaluable work started by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word every step of the way.
University of Texas Health Science Center
One of the most important medical institutions in South Texas, we support the UTHSC to help advance medical research and healthcare education. Their contributions help fund initiatives that improve community health, support underrepresented groups and train future healthcare professionals. It is ranked globally in the top 5% among universities for clinical medicine research. This partnership aligns with the Foundation’s mission to enhance quality of life through education and medical advancements.
